Colton Turner Killed in Crash on SH 349 in Midland County

One person was killed in a Midland County crash on January 21, 2023. Colton Turner (22) was traveling south on SH 349 while a Peterbilt with a trailer was traveling in a private drive west of the highway. The Peterbilt failed to yield the right of way when entering the left turn lane, causing the vehicle to crash into the vehicle driven by Mr. Turner. Midland EMS pronounced Colton Turner dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
