March 4, 2023 – Brenda Esparza Injured in Drunk Driving Crash Involving a Motorcycle

A driver has been arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault for his involvement in a crash that injured another person. According to the crash report, Brenda Esparza was a passenger on a Harley-Davidson driven by an individual that reported to have been drinking at Bottoms Up prior to the crash. Police say that the driver was traveling westbound on the 1300 block of 52nd Street and following too closely when he struck the back end of another vehicle, ejecting both the driver and passenger from the motorcycle. Both occupants of the motorcycle were transported to the hospital, the passenger with incapacitating injuries. The driver was treated and arrested for Intoxication Assault, a 3rd Degree Felony, then later released on a $25,000 bond.
