A 40-Year-Old Woman is Hospitalized After Being Struck by Intoxicated Driver in San Antonio

According to KENS5, on August 29, 2022, the San Antonio Police Department received calls for a wrong-way driver heading south on Highway 281 at around 3:18 a.m.. Within a few minutes, at around 3:21 a.m., the wrong-way driver crashed into another vehicle near the Broadway exit. Reports indicate that the crash happened on Highway 281 southbound near Josephine Street and Broadway. According to SAPD, a 20-year-old man was traveling the wrong way on Highway 281 when he struck a silver sedan that was traveling on Hwy. 281 near the Broadway exit. The woman driving the sedan was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center and the man was detained on suspicion of DWI, police said.
