On May 23, 2023, at approximately 04:50 a.m., a serious crash occurred in Bedford, Tarrant County  Texas, at the intersection of State Highway 183 and Bedford Road. The accident involved a white 2005 Ford Five Hundred sedan, driven by Derion Frazier, a 24-year-old resident of Dallas.

According to the investigator’s narrative, Unit 1 (Ford Five Hundred) was traveling westbound in the left-most lane on State Highway 183 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the car fishtailed across four lanes of traffic, colliding with the median separating the main lanes of State Highway 183 from the exit ramp to Bedford Road in the LFQ-4. Subsequently, Unit 1 spun and collided with the median again before spinning back out into the right lane on State Highway 183.

Derion Frazier, the driver of Unit 1, sustained injuries categorized as “A” in severity. He, along with his passengers, Daveon Cooper and Brianna Flanagan, was taken to Baylor Grapevine hospital for medical treatment. The details regarding the second unit involved in the crash, including its make, model, color of vehicle, and the identity of the driver, are currently unknown.
