Robert Martinez and Serghei Ganaciuc Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 121 in Collin County

A Collin County crash on December 10, 2022 leaves two with serious injuries. It happened around 12:24 p.m. on SH 121 and County Road 528 when a Ford transit van driven by Serghei Ganaciuc (42) of Pittsburgh, PA was attempting to cross SH 121 onto eastbound County Road 581. The crash report indicates that Mr. Ganciuc Failed to Yield Right-of-Way at the stop sign at the intersection of CR 528 and SH 121 prior to crossing to the other side of CR 528. A Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Robert Martinez (50) was traveling northbound on SH 121 and was unable to stop before striking the van on its side. Both vehicles slid onto the right shoulder of Highway 121. Robert Martinez was transported to Bonham Medical and Serghei Ganciuc was transported to Medical Center McKinney for their injuries. The two passengers in Mr. Martinez’s vehicle, Ricardo Martinez and Victor Rosario Salcido, did not report injuries at the time of the accident.
