Over the holiday weekend of July 4, Jessie Gutierrez died in a single-vehicle collision in Cooke County.

A Cooke County, Texas single vehicle crash has claimed the life of Jessie Gutierrez, 20. The wreck occurred on July 3rd, 2022, at around 3:15 AM, a few miles south of Gainesville. Troopers say that a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Gutierrez was traveling northbound on FM 372. Reportedly, he was traveling at an unsafe speed and when the road curved, he left the roadway. At that point the vehicle began to roll, and Gutierrez was ejected from the vehicle. After officials responded to the scene, he was transported to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office by Meador Funeral Home. When tested, his blood showed a BAC of 0.185.
