February 19, 2023 – Juan Rodriguez Killed and Auden Saenz, Jr. Seriously Injured in Ector County Drunk Driving Crash

Minutes before midnight, a white Chevrolet Silverado driven by Primitivio Guerrero (37) was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of US 385 when it struck the front end of a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Juan Rodriguez (23). The force of the impact caused the red pickup to spin counterclockwise and come to a stop in the ditch. The white Chevy continued forward until stopping in the ditch. The crash report indicates that Guerrero showed signs of intoxication as well as admitted to talking on the phone at the time of the crash. An investigation is underway and Intoxication Manslaughter charges are pending according to Texas DPS.
