Garvin County, OK Crash Claims the Life of a Lindsay Teen and Injures Two Others

A Garvin County, Oklahoma crash has claimed the life of a 17-year-old teen male from Lindsay.  The crash occurred on October 9, 2022, about one mile south of Lindsay on State Highway 76.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the teen was transported by helicopter to OU Medical where he was pronounced dead due to the  injuries he sustained in the crash.  Troopers say that a 2008 Cadillac Escalade was driven by the teenager who was struck head-on by a semi driven by Travis D. Christensen, 52, of Washington. They believe that the teen made an improper turn in front of oncoming traffic, which led to the crash.  The teen was pinned in his vehicle for approximately 40 minutes before he was extricated by the Lindsay Fire Department.  The semi driver was brought to OU Medical Center with a head injury but was listed in stable condition.  A passenger in the semi, Keisha D. Netz, 37 was also taken to OU Medical where she was treated and released.
