Elizabeth Prado Killed in New Year’s Day Crash in Lubbock, TX on Avenue Q

A Lubbock crash on January 1, 2023, claims the life of Elizabeth Prado and leaves three others with injuries. According to the crash report, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Richard Trevino (61), was driving a red SUV south in the 2600 block of Avenue Q in the center lane. A black Ford SUV driven by Jeremiah Uriegas (23) was traveling north in the 2700 block of Avenue Q in the center lane. The red SUV began to turn left to go east on 27th Street. Police say the driver, Mr. Trevino, failed to yield right of way and struck Mr. Uriegas. Elizabeth Prado, an occupant in the red SUV driven by Mr. Trevino was transported to University Medical Center where she passed. A 12-year old occupant of the red SUV and the driver Richard Trevino each suffered injuries. The driver of the Black Ford SUV, Mr. Uriegas, was also injured and transported to University Medical Center. The crash is still under investigation. No other details are available at this time.
