An Accident in Iowa Park Texas Resulted in the Death of Laramie James Reid

On November 23, 2022, at approximately 4:05 p.m., Iowa Park police were dispatched to a crash at the 2100 block of Southwest Parkway in Wichita Falls, TX. The crash report states that 33-year-old Laramie Reid was riding a blue Suzuki in the westbound center lane of the 2100 block of Southwest Parkway. At that time, a blue Ford F150 driven by 67-year-old Vickie Jordan was in the east left turn lane at the 2200 block of Southwest Parkway. Ms. Jordan stated that she began turning onto 4900 Taft Blvd. on a green light. The eastbound turn lane and the westbound turn lane were blocked by orange barrels due to construction. Based on this officer’s investigation, Mr. Reid was traveling faster than the posted speed limit in the construction zone. It is believed, based on his investigation, that Ms. Jordan turned on a flashing yellow light. Due to the view of the barrels and the speed of the motorcycle, this officer believes Ms. Jordan never saw Mr. Reid as he entered the intersection. Mr. Reid was pronounced deceased at the scene.
